A more considered approach to colour

This is a private, one-to-one space designed for women who want something softer, more natural, and more aligned with who they are now.

About Stuart

I’m Stuart, and I specialize in creating soft, natural color that evolves with you—not against you.

I opened my private studio in Montréal in September 2024, after relocating from England, where I owned and operated a successful salon for over 15 years.

My work is grounded in color theory, which continues to guide every decision I make behind the chair. While I later developed a strong appreciation for cutting, color has always remained my focus—particularly when it comes to creating results that feel balanced, refined, and easy to live with.

Over time, I found myself drawn more and more to a specific kind of work. Helping women move away from heavy, full-coverage color and into something softer, more intentional, and far more wearable.

Because the goal isn’t just how your hair looks when you leave the studio. It’s how it settles.
How it grows. How it feels weeks later, when real life takes over again. When color is done properly, it doesn’t fight you. It works with you.

My Specialization

Since 2011, I’ve specialized in supporting women through that transition technically and emotionally.

For some, that means softening harsh regrowth.
For others, it’s stepping away from constant root coverage.
And for many, it’s finding a way to embrace grey in a way that still feels like themselves.

This is where Soft Grey Release comes in, a more considered, long-term approach to blending grey without harsh lines, heavy upkeep, or forced results.

The Studio

The studio itself is intentionally different from a traditional salon environment.

It’s quiet.
Private.
Unhurried.

A one-to-one space where everything is designed to feel calm, considered, and focused entirely on you.

There’s something about Montréal that just feels right.

It’s been a privilege to create a space here that reflects both my work and the energy of the Plateau—creative, relaxed, and quietly distinctive.
