SOFT GREY RELEASE BY STU THAT COIFFEUR

If you're stuck in the 3‑week root cycle…
this doesn't have to be so hard

A personalised grey blending experience for women who are done with harsh regrowth, constant upkeep, and hair that just isn't working anymore.

If you're here, you already know the feeling…

You dye your hair every 3 weeks because you can't stand the regrowth

You've thought about going grey, but you're terrified it'll age you

You've tried highlights, lowlights, balayage — and nothing quite works

Your hair feels dry, damaged, and over-processed

You spend more time worrying about your roots than enjoying your life

You're tired of sitting in a salon chair every few weeks

You want change, but you don't know where to start

You've Googled "going grey gracefully" more times than you'd like to admit

What if it didn't have to be all or nothing?

You don't have to choose between box dye and letting yourself go. There's a middle path one that honors your natural color while keeping you feeling polished, modern, and like you.

Soft Grey Release is a gradual, personalized process that blends your incoming grey seamlessly with your existing color. No harsh lines. No dramatic "big chop." Just a slow, intentional transition that works with your hair not against it.

It's not about giving up. It's about finally letting go of something that was never working and stepping into something that actually does.

The Process

Step 1

Consultation

We start with a detailed consultation your hair history, your lifestyle, your goals. This isn't a one-size-fits-all service. Every plan is built around you.

Step 2

The First Session

We begin softening the line between your colour and your natural grey using bespoke blending techniques. It's subtle, intentional, and designed to look beautiful from day one.

Step 3

The Process

Over a series of appointments spaced further and further apart, we gradually reduce the contrast. Your grey grows in seamlessly. No awkward in-between phase. No shock factor.

Step 4

The Release

Eventually, you arrive at a place where your hair feels completely yours. Low maintenance, naturally beautiful, and effortlessly chic

Real Results, Real Transitions

Every head of hair is different.

These are real examples of how colour can shift from something heavy and high-maintenance into something softer, more natural, and easier to live with.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • The first appointment is about resetting the canvas softening old colour, rebalancing tone, and creating something you can actually live with straight away.

From there, it depends on your starting point and your end goal. Some clients get there quickly, others take a few appointments. Either way, every stage is designed to look intentional not like you’re stuck in an awkward grow-out.

  • Grey blending is an investment in both the result and the process.

Your first transformation (usually the longest and most detailed session) typically falls between $800–$1500, including tailored aftercare to keep your hair healthy and the colour looking its best at home.

Future appointments are usually softer, quicker, and spaced further apart.

  • Any chemical service comes with some level of risk I’ll always be honest about that.

That said, I work very intentionally to protect the integrity of your hair. High-quality colour, bond-building treatments, and controlled techniques are all part of the process.

The goal isn’t just a great result on the day it’s hair that still feels good months later.

  • Not at all.

This is completely tailored to you. We can keep depth, softness, brightness, whatever feels right for your lifestyle and aesthetic.

It’s a guided, collaborative process, and we adjust as we go.

  • That depends on your starting point, especially if you have darker colour or years of build-up.

Most transformations take a few appointments to fully settle into that seamless, natural result but you’ll look good at every stage along the way.

  • Most clients find they can stretch their appointments much further apart compared to traditional colour.

Instead of the 3–4 week root cycle, you’re usually looking at 8–12+ weeks, depending on how soft you like your blend.

The intention over time is to space your appointments further and further apart giving you more freedom, less maintenance, and a colour that works with you, not against you.

  • Yes—this is mandatory for all new clients and transformation work.

It’s usually done in person so we can properly assess your hair, talk through your history, and map out a realistic plan.

If you’re travelling from further away, this can also be done online.

  • Yes.

There’s usually a gap between your consultation and your main appointment, so if it feels more comfortable, you can spread the cost by paying in advance and settling the rest on the day.

  • This is really common, but it can make the process a bit slower and more technical.

Previous colour (even the “gentle” ones) tends to build up and react unpredictably when we try to lighten it, so we may need a more gradual approach to keep your hair in good condition

  • If you’re looking for full coverage every few weeks or a quick one-appointment fix, this probably isn’t the right fit.

This is for someone who’s ready to step out of that cycle and play the long game for something softer, lower-maintenance, and more natural.

You've been thinking about this for a while.

Maybe it's time to stop thinking and start. This is your invitation to finally release the cycle, and step into something that feels like freedom.
